Roaring Jaguar TV, also known as RJTV, is a news show created by the 5th graders at Jefferson School. Students work as reporters to produce approximately 5 episodes a year. Episodes range in length from 10 – 20 minutes, and focus on the important events at Jefferson School. RJTV is broadcast throughout Jefferson School as a podcast and shared on our YouTube channel.
This innovative program was started in 2009, and we’ve built upon our successes each year. Our goals for RJTV are:
• To learn about being a reporter
• To develop strong public speaking skills
• To increase confidence
• To foster media literacy
• To gain skills in technology
